Brings IoT and EV Smart Charging Expertise to ST’s products, technologies, and solutions
IoTecha Corp., a provider of Industrial IoT and Electric Vehicle smart charging solutions, announces that it has joined the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to make its HomePlug Powerline Communication (PLC) and EV charging expertise available to ST’s global customer base.
Intelligent and Connected Charging based on the Combined Charging System (CCS) standard is the key to providing seamless integration of millions of EVs with the power grid and enabling ease of use for consumers. IoTecha has created a portfolio of products that include an ISO/IEC 15118 and HomePlug GreenPHY protocol analysis tool, a highly integrated CCS on Module (CCSoM) solution, and the Cloud-based IoTecha Intelligent Power Platform (I2P2). All of these products are designed to reduce development costs and accelerate time to market for EV charging station manufacturers.
IoTecha’s CCSoM is a software and hardware platform based on ST’s ST2100, a highly integrated HomePlug PLC SoC developed with ST by members of the IoTecha team. CCSoM integrates key components of an Intelligent and Connected Charger including ISO/IEC 15118 and OCPP 1.6J. It enables rapid development of a wide range of AC and DC chargers, with the difficult tasks of charging control and protocol stack integration having already been accomplished by IoTecha.
“IoTecha prides itself on providing turnkey solutions that accelerate time to market and reduce design and production costs for our customers,” stated IoTecha CEO Oleg Logvinov. “The ST Partner Program allows us to bring these advantages to ST’s worldwide customer base, while benefitting from the excellent quality and reputation of ST products.”
“The new ST Partner Program helps customers’ design teams access extra skills and resources to aid engineering development and shorten time-to-market for new products,” said Alessandro Maloberti, Partner Ecosystem Director, STMicroelectronics. “By selecting, qualifying, and certifying our program partners, we are taking yet another major step in helping customers accelerate design and development, and ship to market the most robust and efficient products and services.”
STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, created the ST Partner Program to speed customer development efforts by identifying and highlighting to them companies with complementary products and services. Moreover, the program’s certification process assures that all partners are periodically vetted for quality and competence. For more information, please visit www.st.com/partners
