At the Nexus of Transportation Electrification and Power Grid Transformation

A thriving ecosystem is the key to adoption of any technology. The development of PLC-IoT in IEEE is fully aligned with this principle. The launch of the development of IEEE 1901.1.1 “Standard Test Procedures for IEEE 1901.1 Standard for Medium Frequency (less than 15 MHz) Power Line Communications for Smart Grid Applications” and PLC-IoT Industry Connections (IC) allowes participants of IEEE P1901.1 Working Group to lay a solid foundation for this work, but the real gamechanger is the recently announced collaboration with the Huawei OpenLab. Huawei OpenLab worldwide presence and solid technical resources transform the vision of IEEE P1901.1 into the reality.
